Conference of Mr. Ahmed Djoghlaf in Ottawa

Our fellow Dr Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity will host an information session for the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to Canada on the theme of the year 2010, year of biodiversity of the United Nations Environment Programme. The information session will be held Tuesday, April 20th , 2010, from 10:30 to 11:30, at the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade at the Cadieux Auditorium, Lester B. Pearson, 125 Sussex Drive, Ottawa. It should be noted that our compatriot, Mr. Ahmed Djoghlaf is Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) since 2005. Mr. Djoghlaf has extensive expertise in environmental, biodiversity and multilateral organizations. He also held various senior positions within the Algerian government. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Nancy, and many academic qualifications including a Master in "government policies" from St. John's University, New York, USA. Ottawa, April 08th, 2010 |
