A delegation from Montreal Heart Institute to visit Algeria |
A delegation from Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) will visit Algeria from 12 to 15 April 2008. The delegation led by Mr. Robert Busilacchi, Executive Director of the MHI, will comprise the following members: - Doctor Mario Talajic, cardiologist, electrophysiologist; - Doctor Louis Perrault, surgeon specialized in cardiology. The delegation which will visit Algeria upon invitation from the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reforms, will hold meetings and talks with Algerian specialists in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of cardiology and cardiac surgery. The mission will also allow knowing better the MHI functioning and management in the administrative, financial, medico-surgical fields, in order for the Algerian party to take advantage from the Canadian experience in setting up such a specialized medical institute. Lastly, the delegation will discuss a project presented by the “Mohamed Abderrahmani” Cardiac Surgery Clinic, aiming at sending soon a medico-surgical team to Algeria to perform operations in the field of pediatric cardio-surgery.
