Algeria’s National Day Celebration |
The Algerian Embassy in Ottawa organized in October 30th, 2008, an official ceremony to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the outbreak of the 1st November 1954 Algerian revolution. This event was marked by the presence of a large number of guests including heads of diplomatic missions in Ottawa, various Government ministries’ officials, senators, Members of Parliament, executives of major Canadian companies operating in Algeria, and members of the Algerian community. The ceremony began with listening to the national anthems of Canada and Algeria, followed by a speech by the Ambassador of Algeria highlighting the excellence of Algerian-Canadian relations in light of the visit to Quebec, from 16th to 19th October 2008, paid by the President of the Republic.
